Job Description:

We are looking for a SLP to
cover our two regional hospitals needs (KVMH and SMMH). This includes
Evaluations and Treatments for Swallow, Communication, and Cognition, in Acute,
Swingbed, SNF, and LTC settings.

The primary responsibility of this
position is to independently provide diagnostic evaluations and/or direct services
in speech-language and swallowing. This
position works and coordinates services with physicians, nursing staff, social
workers, and other appropriate staff.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology of
speech and swallow mechanism and the principles of growth and development over
the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the
patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify
each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and to
provide the care needed by the adolescent (11-18 years), adult (19-64 years),
to geriatric (65 years plus) patient groups.

This position will travel between two hospital depending on the day
