POSITION: Community Employment Placement Program (CEPP) and 6-12 Special Education Transition Coordinator Uintah School District (220-day contract position with benefits) APPLICANTS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER District Expectations: Develop and maintain a program that will allow disabled young adults to learn job skills as they work in the community; Encourage parents and students to allow students to reach their maximum independent growth; Find or create jobs for individuals who want independent employment and for those who want more work hours than they are currently getting; Develop relationships with local businesses in order to place students; Provide job coaching services; Manage the CEPP budget; Implement and supervise ongoing data collection; Teach individuals or small groups independent living skills such as cooking, shopping, menu planning, laundry, and money management; Build, manage, and ensure compliance with 6-12 grade IEP and transition plans and services; Develop and manage CEPP students IEP's. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education/Experience: Special Education endorsement/certification or willingness to work on certifications (both severe and mild/moderate certification preferred); Administrative endorsement preferred.
