Description

Position Overview:

As part of the Product Development team, we drive continuous improvement and deliver innovative products that delight customers, meet their fitness goals, and enhance the digital ecosystem with personalized, adaptive solutions.

As a Product Owner I, you will support the product development process under the direction of the Product Manager to bring new products to life. Your role will include defining and refining the product vision, managing backlogs, prioritizing features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer value. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow in the Connected Fitness space with hands-on experience in an Agile environment. The role also requires collaborating with development teams globally, across multiple time zones, ensuring effective communication and progress.

Responsibilities:

Product & Sprint Backlog Management Support:

• Take direction from the Product Manager to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.

• Gather business objectives and requirements to scope features and initiatives clearly.

• Support Agile development processes by preparing for sprints, creating user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.

• Assist in defining Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and evaluating tradeoffs to optimize customer value.

• Break down high-level requirements into detailed user stories and ensure they are actionable and understood by development teams.

• Continuously refine product backlog items based on business objectives, user feedback, and evolving project needs.

• Maintain clear and up-to-date product documentation to ensure transparency across teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Partner with the Product Manager to gather input from stakeholders, users, and development teams, prioritizing features effectively.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure product designs meet customer needs and product specifications.

• Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to deliver high-quality features on schedule.

• Assist in preparing go-to-market materials and release documentation to inform users and stakeholders of new features.

• Contribute to the product roadmap by leveraging consumer insights, data analytics, market research, and competitive trends.

• Facilitate communication across teams operating in different time zones to maintain alignment and drive progress.

Data-informed Decision Making

• Collaborate with data analytics teams to evaluate feature performance and usage post-launch, identifying areas for improvement.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including user engagement, retention, and product adoption, to guide future iterations.

• Identify opportunities to improve data-gathering processes and refine metadata definitions for content optimization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in an Agile software development environment or equivalent education/training.

• Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and design/prototyping tools (e.g., Miro, Figma, FigJam).

• Familiarity with connected fitness products or consumer health technology is preferred.

• Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Datadog) is a plus.

• Prior experience working with cross-functional teams, including UX, engineering, marketing, data analytics, and content production, is highly valued.
