Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you complete documentation forms for each product inspected, ensuring that all quality standards are met. Would you be a great Inspector?

To excel in the role of Inspector at Valco Industries, candidates must possess a unique set of skills and capabilities. Excellent eye acuity is essential for accurate inspection of precision machined products, as well as proficiency in using inspection instruments like thread gauges, micrometers, and plug gauges. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for documenting inspection results and effectively collaborating with team members.

Candidates should have good math and reading skills to interpret technical specifications. The ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, along with manual dexterity for grasping and precision movements, is required. Additionally, strong organizational and record-keeping skills are essential for maintaining efficiency and accuracy in the inspection process.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Good eye acuity
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Good math and reading skills
  • Experience with inspection instruments and equipment (e.g. thread gauge, micrometer, plug gauge)
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform work that can be repetitive in nature
  • Frequent grasping and finger dexterity
  • Bending and twisting of wrist and hands
