What We Do:
PetScreening™ is the fastest growing pet-property tech SaaS company. We help property managers and housing providers manage residents' pets and assistance animals (service animals/emotional support animals/companion animals/etc.). Our proprietary screening platform adds an additional layer of liability protection by having a standardized process when dealing with household pets and assistance animals.

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Lead Product Manager to spearhead our product expansion into the short-term rental market. In this high-impact role, you'll lead the development of tailored features that serve the specific needs of short-term rental property managers, ensuring our platform meets industry standards while enhancing core capabilities. This position may have direct reports and is pivotal to our multi-vertical growth strategy. Reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the Head of Product, you will help the collective development team establish best practices.
This role is based in Mooresville, NC, and currently requires weekly office presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Short-Term Rental Product Strategy: Conduct market research and product discovery to uncover key opportunities, understand pain points, and identify product gaps.
- Roadmap & Prioritization: Own the product roadmap for the short-term rental market, strategically prioritizing features and initiatives that deliver maximum impact and align with our broader growth objectives. This role will oversee priorities across multiple tactical teams.
- Product Development & Adaptation: Drive the evolution of our platform by collaborating with engineering, design, and growth teams to build industry-specific features that are scalable and customer-centric.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients, industry experts, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and validate product concepts. Lead research initiatives to develop a nuanced understanding of industry requirements.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data and KPIs to guide product decisions, monitor progress, and refine strategies to ensure ongoing alignment with customer needs.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS, proptech, or related industries.
- Proven track record of leading product expansion into a new industry or market.
- Strong understanding of the property management (proptech) or pet industries is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and leading geographically distributed cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle.
- Ability to influence and lead peers and cross-functional teams with and without direct authority.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on user feedback and KPIs to guide product decisions.
