What's the Job?

As a process development engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing process technologies to meet product design and performance requirements. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise on manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process engineering planning to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

What You'll Work On:

  • Execution of Process Validations: You will lead the execution of various process validations, including Test Method Validation (TMV), Inspection Method Validation (IMV), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), and Product Performance Qualification (PPQ).
  • Report Writing: You will be responsible for writing and releasing IQ reports to document the validation process and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: You will troubleshoot process equipment to identify and resolve issues, ensuring continuous and reliable operation.
  • Process Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop processes based on product specifications, considering process and test method capabilities.
  • Compliance: Understand and adhere to relevant work environment regulations, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process development or manufacturing process engineering.
  • Experience in developing and validating medical device manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and technologies, with a focus on design for manufacturability (DFM), is preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing installation qualifications (IQ).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in introducer/catheter processing.
