The Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies (CAMI) invites applicants for the position of Coordinator, Administrative Operations. This inaugural support position for this center will provide advanced administrative and operational support to the developing Center. This position will assist with the day-to-day management to support their personal docket, program development responsibilities, center communications, and personal research support activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest level of support and assistance to the Center Director and their direct reports to optimize workflow.
  • Communicate regularly and efficiently with high level officials at UAHS, the University of Arizona, other collaborating institutions and government entities, and industry partners.
  • Inform the Center Director of situations and conflicts requiring immediate attention.
  • Develop and manage day-to-day administrative support operations such as purchasing, ordering supplies, and coordinating travel expenses of the Center apprising the Center Director of central issues and activities.
  • Maintain daily schedule deciding priorities in relation to events of the day.
  • Adjust appointments and other events to accommodate emergencies and urgent matters.
  • Assist with operational support activities such as local onboarding of staff and scientific faculty, communication with campus services and supporting operational plans.
  • Leads the development and dissemination of highly influential information regarding the center.
  • Develops correspondence, reports, and other written material of a confidential nature in line with goals and priorities of the center.
  • Oversee maintenance and content of the center's website and social media to ensure engagement with target audience to influence outside parties' recognition of the center.
  • Coordinates comprehensive briefing materials and reports to support Leadership's decision making for high impact meetings.
  • Creative efficiencies and prioritizes conflicting demands in Director's and high priority guests' schedules and travel arrangements.
  • Uses critical thinking and proactive problem solving to execute all aspects of complex and high stakes assignments with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages inquiries from leadership, faculty and external stakeholders regarding programs and services, as it relates to their schedule.
  • Serves as a liaison for external parties and the director.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the Center Director's strategic priorities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with cloud-based software (Box, OneDrive, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Excel) or other platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency navigating online video conferencing (e.g Zoom, Teams).
  • Ability to understand and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy. Occasional travel will be required to Phoenix and Tucson.
