We are currently looking for a Full Time Toddler Teacher to join our Child Development Center Ada Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Child Development Center - Ada working .

Summary:

Manages toddler (13-35 months of age) classroom and provides quality childcare services in a secure, loving environment that promotes development for all children.

Responsibilities:
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
- Greets and engages with a smile
- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
* Provides environment and time to engage with child both emotionally and physically
* Assists in daily needs of child
- Ensures bedding is clean and sanitary
- Changes wet or soiled clothing
- Provides quality care services in secure, loving environment
- Promotes development for all
- Provides an environment which will allow sufficient time for engagement with each child
* Assists in supervision of children during mealtime, activities, and movement thru play
* Assists with keeping classrooms and work areas neat and clean ensuring toys are cleaned weekly and sorted daily
* Collaborates and ensures the health, welfare and safety of the children in the group
* Articulates, evaluates and integrates development strategies for children in the classroom
* Manages all components of the classroom including correspondence with all staff and parents
* Removes potential hazards and reports them to center supervisor
* Monitors students health needs and contacting parents when needed
* Immediately reports any potential health and well-being concerns of students required by law
* Attends parent meetings and policy council meetings
* Develop age appropriate classroom and lesson plans and assessments to ensure learning and development
- Plans and executes all classroom activities to ensure age appropriate development is taking place
- Prepares and submits teach course curriculum objectives and lesson plans for approval
- Responsible for classroom displays and room appearance
- Oversees and utilizes teacher assistants
- Maintains daily attendance and meal counts
- Develops daily schedules for teacher assistants in the classroom
- Arranges coverage if absent from the classroom
* Analyze and provide guidance to children in the classroom ensuring skills of social interaction
- Compiles reports pertaining to children and meets with parents when needed
- Establishes and maintains a teacher-child relationship to promote communication skills
- May be delegate in absence of Master Teacher
* Develop and maintain a portfolio for each child in the classroom to record milestones achieved and to be achieved
- Conducts parent-teacher conferences for progress and individual goal planning
- Conducts two (2) conferences at students home, two (2) in school setting
- Resolves parent grievences as needed with supervisor
* Coordinates as needed with early intervention team to provide appropriate learning plans
* Maintains inventory of all classroom materials and equipment
* Completes developmental observations screenings for all children enrolled in classroom
* Establishes and maintains teacher-child relationships including conversations to aid in development of communication skills
* Ensures all bedding is clean and sanitary at all times and diapers and clothing are changed promptly when wet or soiled
* Supervises the health, welfare and safety of children at all times including mealtimes, movement throughout the building and indoor play
* Maintains daily attendance reports and meal counts
* Creates attractive bulletin board displays
* Oversees and effective utilization of teacher assistants in the classroom including daily schedules allowing for breaks throughout the day
* Notifies supervisor for any inventory issues or necessary maintenance and repairs
* Delegates duties when absent from the classroom
* May be delegated in the absence of the Childcare Toddler Master Teacher
* Performs all other duties as assigned
