We are specialized in small animal general care and our veterinary services include performing spays, neuters, soft tissue, mass removal, dental cleaning with extractions, and more.

Position Purpose

Newton Falls Animal Hospital enjoys many diverse and challenging cases. We like to make work enjoyable and are dedicated to active learning, not only for the doctors but the entire staff Our practice currently supports multiple doctors and a long-term staff that is excited to add another doctor

From state-of-the-art digital radiography, in-house laboratory, acupuncture, portable ultrasound and private surgical suite, you will be empowered to practice progressive, high-quality medicine in a supportive environment. And we're looking forward to an upcoming renovation to update our facility

We welcome new graduates to start their careers here with our structured mentorship plan, as well as offering interesting, diverse, and challenging cases for experienced doctors. For those with reproduction interest, we see a heavy caseload involving reproductive efforts and services

We are located in a rural, country setting, near multiple state parks, with many opportunities for outdoor adventures. Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
