Newton, United States Atlantic Health System Full time

Atlantic Health System's Hackettstown and Newton Medical Centers are searching for a well qualified per diem Physical Therapist for their inpatient units. If you want to work in a nationally ranked hospital system, then do not hesitate to apply now

The responsibilities for per diem Physical Therapists include:

  • Assess individual functional skills with Functional transfers, functional mobility, and Cognitive abilities.

  • Recommend Appropriate discharge destination based on assessment.

  • Supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants and Mobility technicians.

  • Knowledgeable about treating conditions resulting from variety of causes such as various neurological, Cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic conditions along with accidents and falls.

  • Teach individual skills and techniques required for participation in Mobility and safe patient handling to clients and caregivers.

  • Recommend equipment for individuals and suggest adaptation of that equipment to individual’s work-living environment.

  • Collaborate and communicate with various health care professionals in order to effectively and successfully treat our clients.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required:

PT degree from an accredited college or university

NJ License to practice PT

Preferred:

Acute Care experience
