Role Overview: We are seeking for an engaged, creative and gritty Head of Business Development, North America to develop and execute the business development strategy for our North American clients. This will require a focus on attracting new clients and building positive relationships with partners (such as consultants and industry associations) in the real estate sector.

Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert in ESG for real estate
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy that meets (or preferably exceeds) our growth targets
  • Build and establish productive relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Provide sales input on market needs and pricing to ensure product success
  • Partner with consultants and potential clients to understand their business needs and objectives, feeding these into the product development process
  • Work closely with colleagues on opportunities, marketing materials, and case studies
  • Remain up to date per market trends and needs to work with our Scaler clients and guide or product roadmap
  • Represent Scaler at external international events, conferences, working groups, etc.
  • Increase client base by identifying and managing a pipeline of leads and opportunities
Requirements
  • Seasoned/in-depth experience in the ESG and Real Estate sector.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field such as investment, real estate, infrastructure, business, economics, or sustainable finance
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a result- and mission-driven environment
  • Natural relationship builder and leader with integrity, reliability, and maturity
  • Strong industry networks and the ability to further develop these
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot, Pipedrive)
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple opportunity pursuits at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, commercial, and interpersonal skills
