Our leadership has over 25 years of experience in the skilled nursing space, and we've applied our extensive industry knowledge to our proprietary EMR system, in-facility treatment modalities, and insurance-compliant documentation.
Duties and Responsibility• Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patient wounds, which maybe chronic or acute and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement advanced wound care techniques, including debridement, dressing selection, skin grafts and infection control measures.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals at each facility to coordinate care and provide updates on patient progress to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage a travel schedule to visit multiple skilled nursing facilities on a regular basis.
• Ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting all assessments, treatments, and patient/family interactions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staying updated with the latest advances in wound care and applying best practices in treatment.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care, prevention, and management.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Requirements:• Valid License – Board Certified Physician
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in advanced wound care is highly preferred.
• Certification in wound care (e.g., CWOCN, CWS, WCC, WOCN) is a plus.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Wound Expert EMR knowledge preferred.
Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment:
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting required for extended periods of time.
• Requires visual and hearing acuity.
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
