Join our team and start your journey today The Senior Analyst, IT Software Asset Management has responsibility for supporting the day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives of the Software Asset Management department at Copeland. This senior analyst will partner with business/service owners on software renewals, participate in the maturation of the software asset management program and serve as the focal point for all software audit and compliance issues globally. Initial focus for this role will include fully responsibility for ensuring software renewals are processed timely and align with negotiated agreements as well as service owner needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong relationship management skills, procurement, contract management and negotiation experience, and a solid understanding of software asset management and licensing. A solid understanding of other IT areas, such as Hardware, Services, and Telecom is desirable, as this senior analyst may be asked to participate in vendor management projects in other IT categories. Job Responsibilities The following are the high-level scope of responsibilities for this senior analyst role. Provide Software License Management support for Copeland IT, including all software license types (subscription, perpetual, and concurrent). Ensure software entitlements are accurately defined, recorded, updated in the system of record (ServiceNow) Point of Contact for all software audits and assure compliance with contracted terms within software agreements with respect to licenses allocations/entitlements for use; negotiate any findings and settlements Assist in implementing the processes and tools required to assure accurate and comprehensive management of enterprise software, license allocation and entitlements Work with IT and functional leaders on Forecasting and Demand needed for purchasing and cost leverage for renewals Work cross-functionally between the functional customer, IT Service owner, Finance, Procurement and Business/IT towers to identify process improvements, manage risk exposure, and provide a great customer experience. Participate in special projects for the VP, IT VMO, Training, and Communications. The position reports to: Director IT Software Asset Management. This position must interact / collaborate with: Cybersecurity Enterprise and Business Unit IT leadership IT service owners Functional leaders Finance Procurement Legal IT vendors Required Education / Job-Related Skills: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, Business, or related discipline. 3+ years of work experience in the Information Technology, IT Procurement field, and/or IT Finance Some experience with negotiating global IT agreements a plus Advanced skills in Word and Excel; Power BI, ServiceNow and Agiloft (or other CLM tools) experience a plus Solid background and understanding of Procurement and IT Software licensing and software asset management A solid understanding of other IT areas, such as Hardware, Services, and Telecom is desirable Ability to collaborate across multiple business functions Key Competencies: Interpersonal Savvy Persuades/Negotiation Skills Communicates Effectively - Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills Financial Acumen Customer Focus Collaborates Preferred Experience Prior experience with managing IT hardware, services, and telecom contracts Flexible Work Schedule: This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule.
