Overview

TRC is hiring for an Engineer I out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include the following:
* Performs tasks involving routine engineering calculations and the preparation of
* basic sketches in support of engineering activities.
* Gathers and records information to be used in writing specifications and material
* requisitions.
* Organizes and tracks various project activities i.e. material requisitions, vendor
* submittals etc.
* Prepares tables and written material for routine technical reports.
* Gathers, organizes and maintains data sets for specific segments of a project.
* Learn the discipline specific software packages.
* Assist in cost estimate preparation.
* Interfaces with the design/drafting group.
* Reviews vendor drawings and bids to determine compliance with specifications.
* Prepares information to be shown on drawings and reviews drawings when
* completed.
* Undertakes assignments that require some independent work and responsibilities.
* Interfaces with client's engineering representatives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied science from an EAC/ABET approved
    college or university.
  • No minimum experience is required (entry level).
  • Registration as an Engineering Intern desired.
  • Requires good communication skills.
    Must be able to write clearly and concisely to prepare reports, specifications and
    correspondence.
  • Mathematical skills required for completion of a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
    Able to identify problems and propose solutions or seek guidance from more
    experienced engineers.
  • Proficient in PC operation, including spreadsheet and word processing programs.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, occasionally in excess of a normal 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    schedule.
  • Ability to travel as dictated by project requirements.
  • Experience in database operations.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range
