ASSYST is seeking a skilled Power Apps Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom applications leveraging the Microsoft Power Apps platform. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize processes, integrate systems, and deliver scalable low-code solutions while adhering to best practices.

Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain custom applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate.
  • Build and manage data models using Microsoft Dataverse and integrate with Oracle and SQL Server databases through connectors and gateways.
  • Utilize Power Fx to design custom application logic and workflows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and provide documentation for custom applications.
  • Design and implement secure and scalable integrations between real-time and analytical systems.
  • Establish and mature low-code development practices within TPWD.
  • Work in an Agile team environment, contributing to project planning and execution.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed and comply with agency regulations and procedures.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years in application development, maintenance, and IT systems analysis and in experience working with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Dataverse for data storage and modeling.
  • 3+ years of Power Apps development, including both Canvas and Model-driven apps.
  • 2+ years of experience with Power Pages and Power Fx.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, HTML, and JSON.
  • Must have 2+ years using Microsoft Azure DevOps and related Azure services.
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform connectors and gateways for secure data integration.
  • Proficiency in building workflows and automations with Power Automate.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with RPA/DPA integrations and AI Builder in Power Automate for document/invoice processing.
  • Familiarity with Power BI integration for advanced reporting and analytics.
  • Certification as a Power Platform Developer.
  • Experience working in Agile project environments.
