What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architecture strategies.
  • Define and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align data solutions accordingly.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data ecosystems, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools to enhance the data architecture landscape.
  • Develop and communicate data architecture roadmaps and strategies to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to align data architecture initiatives with overall organizational goals.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of data management platforms and tools.
  • Provide guidance on data governance and compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory standards

What You Need: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role with a focus on large-scale data solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of database technologies, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions and familiarity with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and data query languages.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Certification in relevant data management or architecture frameworks is a plus.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and stay current with industry trends in data architecture.

This is a full-time hybrid opportunity in Richmond VA, with 1-2 days in office per month for meaningful team collaboration and events.
