Job Summary

Responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. Leads a variety of projects, including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, Business Process Optimization arrangements, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.

Provides direction and guidance to business partners to enable the best information technology (IT) solutions that meet the business needs. The position bridges the gap between business partners and technology solution providers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees complex IT initiatives having enterprise impact. Coordinates across IT, interfacing with wide group of stakeholders representing multiple business areas.
  • Facilitates a clear understanding of IT strategy/Roadmaps with assigned organization and ensures integration and consistent implementation across the organization.
  • Proactively communicates with stakeholders, ensures that they are an integral part of the requirements definition process as well as project implementation, and manages customer expectations.
  • Oversees the development and execution of project plans according to scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Monitors and reports progress of IT initiatives to IT leadership as well as business leaders.
  • Establishes and enforces adherence to standards and best practices for Project Management to ensure quality and integrity of delivered solutions.
  • Builds and matures team skills by conducting knowledge sharing and by mentoring other IT PMs.
  • Provides technical leadership for project teams to align to strategic business objectives.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business partners and acts as a liaison between information services teams and the business partner.
  • Provides education to new partners with regards to IT service offerings.
  • Promotes business projects and value to the IT leaders and community.
  • Facilitates project initialization process working to prioritize projects and guide projects through the approval process. Leads the development of business cases requiring IT-based solutions.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Understands and educates others on policies and practices.
  • Effectively uses new technology and in-depth knowledge of IT research methods and procedures to evaluate and recommend IT solutions.
  • Leads functional teams or projects.
  • Serves as a mentor to less experienced staff members and contributes to performance reviews.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems; 10 years of experience in system development and implementation; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
  • Prior IT and Project management experience
