_ General Summary_

Under general supervision, assist implementation and support management for large enterprise multi clustered Cisco UC infrastructure. Assist in site readiness assessments and preparation through deployments and cut overs. Primary responsibilities include: providing daily operational support for enterprise Cisco UC infrastructure and other communication system.

_ Principal Responsibilities and Tasks_

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

1. Provide daily Enterprise Cisco Call Manager, UCCX, Unity, Jabber, VCS and all other telephony related systems moves, add’s and changes.

2. Assist in infrastructure systems maintenance and upgrades.

3. Support hybrid traditional PBX/VoIP solutions.

4. Provides input and recommendations to staff and management when potential problem areas are identified or policies or procedures require modification or new ones are needed. Assist in developing test plans. Recommend and follow proper escalation procedures to minimize any outages that may occur.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

** Education and Experience**

  1. Bachelor's in related field or equivalent related experience is required.
  2. At least 4 years of installing and troubleshooting in Unified Communication environment is required.

** Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

  1. Excellent problem solving, organizational, customer service, analytical skills and teamwork are required.
  2. Hands-on technical knowledge of Call Manager and Endpoints.
  3. Must be able to effectively interact with the end users, engineers from different teams inside and outside of TSG, project managers, and management teams. Must be able to participate and represent the team in ongoing projects and meetings.
  4. Possesses good customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  5. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to advise and consult with user personnel and make formal presentations of project findings and recommendations.
  6. Excellent organization skills; demonstrates confidence and creativity.
  7. Ability to work with potentially hazardous tools and power equipment, safely and effectively.
  8. Effective writing skills are required in order to document work performed, work schedules and work performance.

** Working Conditions**

  1. Weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and may be require work beyond normal tour of duty to complete projects, meet deadlines, or respond to emergencies.
  2. Work is performed in various environments within UMMS. These environments include, but are not limited to the following: a standard office environment, Data Center/closets environment, or Healthcare environment.
  3. Periodic traveling out of town with overnight stays to obtain required training, education, or certification may be required.
  4. Work may include regular travel to and from the various affiliated institutions within the Medical System.
  5. Work may be required in a Healthcare facility which the observance of “Universal Precautions” is mandated. Universal Precautions involves the wearing of protective clothing/equipment and the observance of safe work practice.
  6. There is potential for regular exposure to hazardous materials and hazards from use of tools and power equipment in the work environment.
  7. Work is high demand and fast paced.
  8. May require lifting, carrying supplies/equipment, pushing/pulling equipment in excess of 40 lbs.
  9. May require standing stooping, bending and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  10. Talking and hearing necessary for conversations with callers, visitors, patients, families and staff members.
