Position Summary
ChesPenn Health Services is seeking an experienced, patient-focused Pediatrician to provide primary care to children and adolescents at our Federally Qualified Health Center in Chester, PA.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine. Satisfactory completion of an approved residency program in stated specialty
- Board eligibility in specialty required, Board Certification is preferred
- Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA Certificate
- Current COVID and Flu vaccine required
Clinical:
- Provides primary care to patients in an FQHC ambulatory-care environment in an urban setting.
- Coordinate and provide primary care services to target populations
- Maintain confidentiality of clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Work within all state/federal laws and regulations and collaborating physician agreements
- Maintain positive relationships with managed care agencies, commercial providers, public and private funders and community organizations
- Participate in quality improvement, regularly scheduled staff meetings
- Maintain a high productivity level based on BPHC grant standards with respect to the total number of patients to which professional services are rendered
- Must be flexible and have a positive attitude
- Extensive knowledge of current health care needs and issues of children, adolescents, and adults
- Ability to collect adequate client data, conduct a physical exam, interpret physical findings, and manage or refer patients as conditions or protocols dictate
- Provide emergency/on-call telephone coverage according to rotation schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Perform other tasks as directed
- Maintain a high productivity level based on BPHC grant standards, with respect to the total number of patients to which professional services are rendered, annual patient encounters, and annual visits per patient.
- Maintain and update patient records appropriately in Electronic Medical Record
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with community agencies and area hospitals.
- Conduct or lead medical and community health projects as requested.
- Participate in the development of the annual medical health care plan.
- Consistently participate in continuing medical education activities.
