Job Description

We are seeking skilled pickers for our warehouse in Kannapolis. The picker position requires candidates to receive a pick sheet and walk throughout the warehouse to pull orders accurately. Candidates should have experience working in a warehouse environment and be accustomed to being on their feet for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Receive and interpret pick sheets to pull orders accurately.

• Walk throughout the warehouse to locate and pull items.

• Sort packages by hospital and area within the hospital.

• Place sorted items on pallets or carts.

• Wrap and load items onto trucks.

• Use RF scanners to track inventory.

• General warehouse duties including packing, loading, and unloading.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a picker, packer, or order puller in a warehouse environment.

• Experience with RF scanners.

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently.

• Ability to walk 40,000+ steps per shift.

• Experience in warehousing and distribution.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Physically capable of performing physically taxing tasks.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking.

Additionally, you will accrue 4 hours of PTO per week, totaling 208 hours per year, which can be rolled over. Holiday pay is double time for scheduled holidays. After six months of full-time employment, employees are eligible to move into any position they qualify for, potentially including roles within hospitals.

Work Environment

The work environment is a 200,000 square foot, clean, and climate-controlled warehouse/distribution center. The team size includes roughly 75 people on the 1st shift, with a thinner skeleton crew on the 2nd shift. The dress code is flexible, allowing for shorts and short sleeve shirts, provided the clothing fits properly and is free of vulgar, profane, or offensive writing and graphics. Close-toed shoes are mandatory, with tennis shoes being acceptable. The 2nd shift operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesdays off, from 2:30pm to 2:30am, and candidates will never stay past 3:30am.
