EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 3 years troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment in the Biomedical or related electronics field SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Electric and electronic theory including discrete components, integrated circuits, and microprocessors: test equipment such as digital multimeter and other special instrumentation designed for testing medical equipment. Essential Functions: Exhibits a comprehensive understanding and can communicate the use of devices supported. Demonstrates a working knowledge of clinical equipment, radiological, and network medical systems. Demonstrates to the ability to oversee department related projects. Mentors BMET 1 technicians Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment with minimal supervision. Has basic understanding of project management terms and methods. Understand and complete annual regulatory safety compliance assignments. Can provide comprehensive support of acuity equipment for direct patient care Is familiar with the operations and environment utilized to support hospital, clinic, et. Has comprehensive experence in their assigned clinical environment Capable of troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment independently specifically when on call.
