MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging department. In this critical role, you will perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Your expertise will be integral to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality images.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findings.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
- Follow all radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a nuclear medicine specialization.
- State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and associated software.
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
