Job Information:

Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedicsis looking for a full-time, experienced, Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner)to join the OrthoExpress/ortho urgent careteam. This position requires working independently and in coordination with physicians in several sub-specialties. Selected candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently and within a team. The schedule entails 12-hour day shifts and some 9-hour Saturday shifts per month, with an opportunity to pick up per diem shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) will be responsible for Walk-in Care services, providing independent evaluation of patients, interpretation of imaging and laboratory studies, formulation of therapeutic and diagnostic plans, and referrals to other specialists and/or physical therapy. In this position, the APC will evaluate everything from sprains, strains, fractures, as well as some immediate postoperative concerns. Skills often performed include injections of knees and shoulders as well as some durable medical equipment (DME) application.

  • The APC will be seeing pediatric patients on a case-by-case basis, starting as early as 7 years old, with a focus on the quality of patient care in a community setting.

  • The APC will treat a high volume of patients while maintaining high quality of care.

Qualifications

  • 3 years minimum experience in Orthopedics and/or Orthopedic Urgent Care required; Emergency Room experience a plus.

  • Current NJ Medical License, CDS, DEA and appropriate Certifications

  • Prior EMR experience required; Epic experience preferred.
