Nesco Resource has a Post Production Operator 1 position in Brunswick Ohio. This position requires prior experience.
Mon - Thurs 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.
Starting rate of pay is $16.00 hr.
Summary:
Assist with the finishing of Print job, including Folding, Stapling, Book Binding, Laminating, Taping, and other miscellaneous hand work. Work is performed under the supervision of the Print Production Supervisor in the Bindery Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to work on time daily, understands and complies with company policies and is available for overtime when needed.
- Works independently within established procedures and policies.
- Operates a folder, setting the machine for the required number and sizes of folds.
- Sets up and operates a stitcher, shrink wrap machine, round corner machine, and perfect binder.
- Drills holes in assembled material using hydraulic paper drill.
- Operates the laminator to mount and film laminate jobs as needed.
- Works in a safe manner and ensures that all machine safety devices are operable at all times.
- Learn job-related work primarily through observation with oral and written instructions given in English. This learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting.
- Works cooperatively with other company employees.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate additional machinery as necessary.
- Assists in the Handwork Bindery area as needed. Handwork involves mounting, taping, folding and trimming.
- Sew, trim, and grommet banners and posters.
- Assembles boxed or bundles of forms, pads, pamphlets, or other material for distribution.
- Performs general house cleaning of Post Press department as needed.
- Notifies the Post Print Production Supervisor of any supply shortages.
- Notifies the Post Print Production Supervisor of any safety issues in the department.
Skills Required:
- High School or equivalent.
- Basic Math and Paper counting skills.
- Paper handling skills and paper knowledge
- Understands decimals, fractions and can read a ruler.
- Good finger dexterity.
- Mechanical ability is a plus.
- Experience with Bindery Equipment required.
- Can lift up to 70lbs repeatable during the shift and be on your feet the entire shift.
