Job Overview:
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Planner 2 - Scheduler. The role involves supporting the Office of the Deputy Chief Information Officer (ODCIO) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in planning, schedule development, and maintaining an integrated master schedule (IMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling:
- Support ODCIO SMEs in their planning and schedule development efforts.
- Gather and consolidate multiple SMEs' schedule information into an ODCIO IMS to ensure traceability of milestones and maintain an accurate, up-to-date schedule.
- Add, track, and maintain team actions using project management methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint).
- Schedule Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze schedule data to assess critical path impacts to the program.
- Ensure compliance with schedule quality standards in line with industry best practices.
- Support the development of PowerBI dashboards sourced by the IMS for visualization and reporting.
- Resolve schedule discrepancies and collaborate with other schedulers to address findings from the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 14-point schedule assessment (14 pt Analyzer).
- Develop or assist in executive-level reporting as needed.
- 10+ years of professional work experience.
- Proven experience in managing IT-related projects.
- Experience tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress for projects.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple projects and consolidate schedules, defining goals, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience drafting status reports and gathering requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline, or 8 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
- Experience implementing electronic health records (EHR).
- Experience as a Master Scheduler.
- Familiarity with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 14-point schedule assessment (DCMA 14 pt Analyzer).
