Job Overview:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Planner 2 - Scheduler. The role involves supporting the Office of the Deputy Chief Information Officer (ODCIO) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in planning, schedule development, and maintaining an integrated master schedule (IMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning & Scheduling:
    • Support ODCIO SMEs in their planning and schedule development efforts.
    • Gather and consolidate multiple SMEs' schedule information into an ODCIO IMS to ensure traceability of milestones and maintain an accurate, up-to-date schedule.
    • Add, track, and maintain team actions using project management methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Schedule Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze schedule data to assess critical path impacts to the program.
    • Ensure compliance with schedule quality standards in line with industry best practices.
    • Support the development of PowerBI dashboards sourced by the IMS for visualization and reporting.
    • Resolve schedule discrepancies and collaborate with other schedulers to address findings from the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 14-point schedule assessment (14 pt Analyzer).
    • Develop or assist in executive-level reporting as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of professional work experience.
  • Proven experience in managing IT-related projects.
  • Experience tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress for projects.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple projects and consolidate schedules, defining goals, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience drafting status reports and gathering requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline, or 8 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
  • Experience implementing electronic health records (EHR).
  • Experience as a Master Scheduler.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 14-point schedule assessment (DCMA 14 pt Analyzer).
