Assembler I - 2nd shift Date: May 14, 2024 Req ID: 3211 Location: Elkton, MD, US, 21921 Company: Terumo Cardiovascular USA Department: MD NX Production At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting. This includes a full-line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products. Our mission is to work as a team to save one more life, today and every day. We do this by providing lifesaving technology to cardiac surgery teams around the world. Job Summary This position is responsible for all aspects of assembling, inspecting, and packing of product. Job Details/Responsibilities In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Abide by safety procedures. Assemble components based upon customer specifications. Pack product into proper pouches, bags, trays, buckets, and boxes. Inspect both visual and functional aspects of product. May perform in-line inspections for other members of the team. Assemble product as required using customized drawing specifications, procedures, and/or job-related hand tools. May include some equipment operation. Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance to site-specific procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/ Background Experiences Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills. Basic computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office. Pay & Benefits: Pay for this position is $18.25 per hour. Time and a half for hours worked over 40. Second shift offers a 10% shift differential....When working 2nd shift, pay is $20.08 per hour with shift differential. Hours for this position will be Monday - Friday 4pm - 230am with overtime potential on Saturday. Must be able to train on first shift for the first few months; Monday - Friday 6am - 430pm, overtime potential on Saturday. 80 hours pro-rated vacation and 40 hours sick time offered Medical, dental, vision – 1st of the month following 30 days. 14 company paid holidays, including a week off at Christmas. 401k with 6% company match Incentive Plan Bonus - Every May Step progression program - earn regular increases every six months Life insurance & short term disability – can also pay more into this in addition to what Terumo offers.
