Lexington, United States Youth Villages Full time
Overview

Company Overview

Youth Villages has been a national leader in the implementation of research-based treatment philosophies in the field of children's mental and behavioral health. Our commitment to helping troubled children and their families find success spans 30+ years and includes a comprehensive array of programs and services.

If you are looking for a positive career move where you are meeting the challenges of life and striving to make a positive difference, then Youth Villages is the place for you. We are looking for people with a strong sense of purpose and focus to continually build confidence in yourself and our organization.

Responsibilities

Intercept

The intercept intensive in-home services program is an effective alternative treatment for children and youth who otherwise would be placed in foster care, residential treatment, detention centers, hospitals or other juvenile facilities. Diverting youth from these out of home placement, Intercept family intervention specialists provide guidance and treatment resources for youth and families in their own homes.

LifeSet

LifeSet is an individualized, evidence-informed community-based program that is highly intensive. LifeSet specialists meet with participants face to face at least once each week. They text, email and call young people regularly throughout the week, when needed. Specialists stabilize even the toughest situations and help young people build healthy relationships, obtain safe housing, education and employment. LifeSet is one of the nation’s first — and now one of the largest — evidence-informed programs helping young people who age out of foster care. More than 20,000 young people have helped through LifeSet across the country since the program began in 1999.

Position Overview

  • Market all Youth Villages' services specifically focusing on Intercept and LifeSet, continually learn about Youth Villages' programs, improve marketing skills, and keep abreast of competition
  • Meet or exceed Intercept/LifeSet census goals as written on KY state growth plan regarding your specific region
  • Build positive relationships while pursuing case referrals through informational meetings, open houses, trade and agency shows and other outreach.
  • Establish relationships with key community providers including psychologists, psychiatrists, employee assistance people, insurance carriers, mental health centers, school groups, community groups, juvenile court personnel, human service workers and social workers
  • Identify new referral sources and build relationships with existing referrers

  • Participate in provider organizations of which Youth Villages is a member
  • Maintain ongoing contact with key referral sources through presentations, meetings, phone calls, emails, mailings and other outreach
  • Engage in mass mailing/e-mailing, cold calls, and other efforts to make individuals aware of Youth Villages
  • Manage a large base of diverse referral sources and understand each referral source's problems and needs
