Job Overview:
The Marketer and Designer specializing in social media graphics is responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging graphics / social media posts for various social media platforms. They collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and produce eye-catching designs that effectively communicate brand messages and drive audience engagement.
**This is an unpaid, volunteer position that will require a minimum of 3 - 6 months time commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high-quality graphics for social media platforms, including images, illustrations, banners, and infographics.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand guidelines.
- Develop creative concepts and design mockups for social media campaigns, promotions, and advertisements.
- Create visual assets that are optimized for different social media platforms and devices.
- Stay updated with design trends, tools, and best practices in social media graphics.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure visual consistency and alignment with content strategies.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer, with a focus on social media graphics.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative design concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio showcasing previous work in social media graphics and design projects.
