The role you’ll contribute: The Sonographer – Women’s Specialty Care performs diagnostic sonographic imaging of fetal and maternal anatomy, urinary and gynecologic anatomy or any other diagnostic studies as deemed necessary by the physician for interpretation and/or intervention. This individual assists the primatologist, urogynecologist and/or other physician specialist in patient care and procedures. The value you’ll bring to the team: Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Acquires patient’s clinical history and provide accurate documentation for invasive procedures. Documents patient weight, blood pressure and other pertinent information depending on patient status. Assesses sonographic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Minimum requirements: High School graduate or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. Minimum 3 years of experience in either obstetric and perinatal sonography, urogynecology sonography and/or other specialized diagnostic studies is preferred. Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required. BLS required Preferred qualifications: Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographers preferred A history of working with a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, Urogynecologist and/or other specialty trained physicians in the past is preferred.
