The Network Security Analyst is an integral part of the enterprise network security team and helps to ensure the security of digital platforms through the development and implementation of secure configurations, tools and processes. Furthermore, the Network Security Analyst functions as an escalation point for networking security issues, remediating system outages, critical vulnerabilities and other issues, as well as mentoring more junior employees on security baselines, postures and policies. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze company vulnerability datasets and communicate recommendations on best practices and remediation steps to product and application owners. Participate in security incident response activities. Perform technical reviews and remediation of penetration testing findings on enterprise infrastructure. Assess security designs for new digital solutions with key stakeholders on projects to ensure cybersecurity standards are met. Implement controls and processes to ensure compliance with network and security standards. Work with business contacts to implement network segmentation, especially around IOT and OT platforms. Lead and/or participate in Proof of Concept (PoC) development and testing for bringing in new services and solutions to the company. Deploy, test, implement and manage security solutions, such as security management platforms and compliance monitors to improve the security posture of applications and the company network. Provide technical expertise to the IT Infrastructure teams and support for critical issues such as system outages and connectivity issues. Participate in security audits and work with both internal and external auditors to show compliance and improve the cybersecurity program. Implement and maintain network security analytics, reporting and metrics (KPIs). Assist in the development and execution of cybersecurity roadmaps. YOU HAVE: TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong experience in network security, technologies and designs. Advanced understanding of networking products. General knowledge and understanding of Cisco security products. Hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or other NAC tools is a plus. Experience working with automation and scripting, such as python and configuring APIs between platforms. Solid understanding of information security risk, frameworks, and architecture standards. Demonstrated ability performing threat modeling / data flow diagramming / architecture risk analysis, identifying bugs and flaws and driving work items from these activities to resolution. Experience working with incident detection, response and remediation, including penetration testing. Demonstrated ability to work with users to identify the trade-offs of different solutions and recommend the ideal design to meet security requirements Experience with the deployment, implementation and management of enterprise security solutions Experience with monitoring, alerting and logging Understanding of how Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices works in a manufacturing environment. WORK EXPERIENCE At least 5+ years of experience in networking and/or cybersecurity. 3+ years of progressive hands-on technical experience in solution design and architecture with a primary focus on network security products. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. CERTIFICATIONS Certifications in networking and/or security are a plus. Preferred Certifications in Cisco Security, ISC2, AWS Security or Azure Security. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and compelling manner. Excellent project & priority management. Experience working within agile frameworks is a plus. Motivated self-starter with the ability to work effectively on a team or independently, within and across functional areas. Ability to take complete ownership of assigned tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay current on technology through independent research and learning.
