A DAY IN THE LIFE: The Sr. Firmware Engineer will be accountable for the coding of software parts of the Sigi system. This position works within the software development team to design the best software for our medical devices. Contribute to organization and facilitation of scrum ceremonies including standup, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospective, demos Test and improve the software system in order to improve performance and reliability. Be responsible for timely management of software subprojects. Partner closely with other team members to successfully bring prototypes to clinical study. Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements. Other responsibilities as assigned. YOU’RE AWESOME AT : Demonstrated experience in software coding (personal projects welcome) Experience with unit testing and Git. Experience with multiple Bluetooth LE L2CAP CoC platforms is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced start-up environment in a small team setting. YOU'LL NEED: Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience. 8 plus years’ experience in embedded software development. 5 plus years’ experience in working in an IEC 62304 or regulated environment. Advanced knowledge in Embedded systems, RTOS, Linux environment. Advanced Knowledge in CI/CD and automation. Fluent in English and French (preferred).
