Director, Quality Business Excellence JOB SUMMARY As a member of the Global Quality Leadership Team, the Director of Quality Business Excellence is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving quality initiatives. This position plays a key role in enhancing the overall performance and competitiveness of the organization by implementing best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and optimizing business processes across various departments. This role is instrumental in driving organizational excellence and sustainable growth by continuously enhancing processes and systems to meet evolving business needs and customer expectations. Critical aspects of this role include: CPM reduction Driving operational excellence across factories by partnering with Operations Teaching non-factory associates to think about and drive continuous improvement ESSENTIAL DUTIES Develop and implement a comprehensive business excellence strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering collaboration, innovation, and a mindset of continuous learning. Lead efforts to identify inefficiencies, defects, or areas for improvement in processes and implementing corrective actions to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and success of business excellence initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive change management efforts. Provide leadership and guidance to departmental heads and project teams to ensure successful execution of improvement projects. Responsible for developing project charters outlining project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations. Coach Manufacturing leadership on Operations Excellence implementation, including Leading & Managing Change, Value Chain Alignment, and Human Capital. Coach Manufacturing leadership on the integration of Quality excellence tools, including creating, maintaining, and following the best practice governance process. Lead initiatives to identify and eliminate waste within processes, utilizing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement and enhance operational efficiency. Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in existing processes and systems. Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels to identify areas for improvement and drive customer-centric quality initiatives. Champion a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee engagement, training, and development initiatives. Conduct comprehensive process mapping exercises to visualize and document current state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design optimized future state workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on best practices in business process management, quality management, and organizational excellence. Conduct process health checks, GEMBA, and learn from previous ways of working to enable the pace of implementation and new change management routines. Drive the adoption of technology and automation solutions to optimize business processes and enhance productivity. Communicate progress, successes, and challenges, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders on a regular basis. Staying informed about industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously evolve and improve the organization's practices. Build and lead a high-performing quality management team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive excellence across the organization. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Master's degree preferred Experience & Skills Proven experience (8+ years) in business process improvement, quality management, or related fields. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams. Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading and implementing process improvement initiatives. In-depth knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Total Quality Management. Experience in creating and maintaining SIPOC (Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs, Customers) diagrams to map out key business processes and identify areas for improvement. Demonstrated ability to influence leaders to execute operations excellence best practices. Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to prioritize improvement opportunities by assessing potential impact versus implementation effort, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to initiatives that yield the highest return on investment and align with strategic objectives. Proven ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement within an organization. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant process improvement methodologies is a plus.
