Verinext is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Professional Services Organization. This is an opportunity to join a high-visibility, multi-site network infrastructure upgrade project. The right individual for this role will be open to frequent travel and working onsite at a client site up to 75% of the time; however, we are flexible on work location when not onsite with the client

Job Responsibilities

  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites approximately 50-75% of the time
  • Implement and troubleshoot a new network of high availability connectivity in a production environment
  • Perform configuration, delivery, physical setup, installation, troubleshooting and repair of all hardware and software for network infrastructure
  • Participate in Change Management and Root Cause Analysis meetings as directed
  • Monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput, and availability
  • Ensure a stable performance environment for mission-critical enterprise systems
  • Implement Network Infrastructure - Including procurement, hardening configuration, maintenance, and disposal of assets according to policy
  • Maintains accurate records of all daily work performed while onsite at customer
  • Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software and networking problems of the LAN and WAN environment
  • Understand the end goals of the project and the product being delivered, and continually work towards the finish line
  • Accurately track and report time against projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of network engineering
  • CCNP or equivalent level experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability with very little guidance to accomplish the goals of the project
  • Must be familiar with applying Best Practice methodologies to Cisco based technologies to include IOS, IOS XE, IOS XR, NX-OS
  • Proven experience and success with design of Information Technology infrastructure
  • Highly analytical in problem-solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Routing protocol knowledge and experience in EIGRP, OSPF and BGP
  • Strong network troubleshooting background
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Outstanding network, wireless, security and engineering/architecture skills
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
