About the Team Workday's Technology Strategy and Planning unifies the program portfolio across Technology to deliver secure applications to Workday customers powering a rapidly growing global business. This requires superior coordination and communication amongst our teams of highly skilled Engineering, Development, Security and Privacy partners organizations that span multiple geographies. Our mission is to focus on delivering projects and programs that ensure our Workday platform is highly available while delivering new products and features for our customers. About the Role We are looking for a Technical Program Manager with experience managing technical programs as well as knowledge of the federal and public sectors to join our team. You will be responsible for the delivery of services from the Technology PMO teams, from customer engagement and gathering requirements to ensuring sponsors and stakeholders are kept up to date. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, Strategy and Planning partners and drive the requirements from the design phase through execution. With a growing customer base and a Software-as-a-Service model, security, scalability, and reliability need to be ever-present in what and how we deliver. Responsibilities: Proactively and independently manage technical programs Partner across the Product and Technology Organization (Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, Business & Technology, Operations and Customer Success) teams to align with strategic vision and goals Help plan, implement and deliver projects and programs and drive accountability across stakeholder teams to ensure program objectives are met Communicate program risks and solutions to technical and non-technical business owners Provides reporting and measurements of program effectiveness and provides analysis to senior management Facilitate program management of technical program reviews to support key business stakeholder requests. If so, we'd love to hear from you Basic Qualifications: 4 - 8 years of experience in cross-organizational technical program management in Computer Science or an Enterprise IT function. 4-8 years' experience leading the development and implementation of new technology, cloud environments, security, infrastructure, migrations, business, compliance, and/or process improvement initiatives Experience working in a federal government business model Strong communication skills with the ability to succinctly articulate ideas to different audiences Other Qualifications: Familiarity and experience with agile software delivery methodologies and service request systems (SLA, TTA, TTRs, etc) Demonstrated ability establishing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of an organization, with a proven track record of influence and collaboration Ability to work at a global scale, collaborating with peers across the globe. Demonstrated adaptability in ambiguous situations with flexibility to quickly adjust priorities Experience with systems thinking to design, develop, and implement new technical, business, compliance, and delivery processes FedRAMP experience a plus Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
