Job description
We are proud to be operating safe, reliable childcare for school age students in the Portland Metropolitan area. We are looking for caring, energetic and dedicated Directors to help us with a variety of program activities to provide a positive and academically enriching experience for K-5th students. Qualifications
* Enrollment in Central Background Registry upon hire
* CPR/First Aid certified upon hire
* Food Handlers certification upon hire
* Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety before first day on site
* Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect before first day on site
* Preferred: An Associates or Bachelors degree in the Education field: Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Recreation, Physical Education or Special Education
* Preferred: Previous supervisory experience
* Minimum 2 years K-5th grade teaching, enrichment program or camp experience
* Knowledge of child development and appropriate developmental practices
* Flexibility and willingness to work alongside lead teachers and assistant teachers
Availability
* Monday-Friday morning and afternoons
* Full Day at program site on in-service, holidays and break camps
* Additional office hours and meetings scheduled during normal business hours Monday-Friday

Job-Type and Salary
* Full Time 32-40 hrs per wk at $16.30-17.00 per hour, dependent on experience and education

Director Responsibilities:
* Responsible for planning and organizing the daily program at school sites
* Ensure programming and curriculum are implemented and followed
* Supervise a staff of 4-5 Teachers and Teacher Aides
* Perform administrative duties which includes state licensing requirements and student tracking
* Supervise students in all activities
* Set short and long term goals for the program
* Establish positive relationships with school personnel
* Actively maintain positive communication with parents
