The Unemployment Coordinator is the subject matter expert for the company, responsible for coordinating responses to unemployment compensation claims. This includes working closely with the Pennsylvania UC Claims Office, third-party vendors, and operating divisions. This position also represents the company on any hearings that may occur. This position will also assist in the biweekly timekeeping duties. - Coordinate responses to initial claims, wage audits, hearing notices, determinations, or relief from charges received via the online UC portal.*
- Address complex and disputed claims at unemployment hearings, representing the company and coordinating with third party vendor for resolutions and filing appeals as necessary.*
- Data Analysis: Analyze data related to claims, such as trends in filings, denial rates, and claim outcomes, to support decision-making and improve processes.*
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for management on claim statistics, trends, and areas requiring attention or improvement.*
- Review relief from charges reports and address with the UC office to arrange credits after appeals.*
- Download and review monthly UC reports from third parties..
- Answer phone calls, emails, or any correspondence from vendor, employees or managers in regards to Unemployment claims.
- Cross train and assist the payroll coordinators in daily timekeeping duties to include, exception reporting, tips pools, gratuities and biweekly payroll close activities.*
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism, Payroll
- 18 years of age or older.
- Completion of high school or GED
- Proficiency in data analysis and report generation utilizing Excel.
- Must be experienced in the Company timekeeping system and knowledgeable in unemployment rules and processing.
- Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
