SUMMARY Experienced, mid or senior-level ColdFusion developer performs analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment of software applications developed for external clients or internal use. May also be called upon to serve as technical lead for project teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential functions are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees. Works with project manager, team lead, and clients to obtain and analyze project specifications. Analyzes client's requirements to develop software solutions and determine the feasibility of the design within time and cost constraints. Formulates and designs ColdFusion applications. Ability to complete tasks independently or collaboratively with other team members. Design and develop appropriate reports to client specifications. Experience developing and performing software system testing and system documentation. Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software systems. Review and troubleshoot existing code to identify and resolve software bugs Ability to serve as technical or team lead as needed on project teams. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education, Experience, and Skills include: Four-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience. Minimum five years application development experience. Experience implementing applications using Adobe ColdFusion. Direct, relevant, and extensive experience in all phases of design and development of database-driven web applications utilizing server-side scripting and RDBMS in conjunction with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX. Preferred: Experience designing and maintaining databases in Microsoft SQL Server. Experience writing and maintaining Transact-SQL code (triggers, stored procedures, functions). Experience implementing browser-based interfaces that are Section 508 and/or WCAG 2.0 AA compliant. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required: Self-motivated individual who enjoys challenges and learning new skills and technologies. Attention to detail. Ability to complete assigned tasks independently. Ability to creatively solve problems and find solutions. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to effectively manage workload using a ticketing system. Solid understanding of software development standards and tools. Effective verbal and written communication skills, both within a team and with clients. Ability to provide accurate estimates and meet deadlines.
