We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges.Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking a supervisor to oversee our First Stop DUI program statewide. This person will ensure that supportive person-centered counseling services are being provided to individuals in a compassionate way.Please look at the highlights below:What You'll Do At BCCS: Responsible for reviewing and approving intakes/assessment and ensuring that clients are placed in the correct level of care. Conduct and promote staff orientation, training, and development. Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff. Ensure that counselors follow agency policies and procedures. Meet with assigned clients to formulate and execute clinical goals. Assign clients to counselors / case managers. Provide regular and specially requested reports. Provide outreach and educational activities in the community. Resolve counselor / client conflicts. Promote staff morale and conduct supervision with staff on a weekly basis. Participates in weekly treatment team meetings. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices. Knowledge of population being served and available resources. Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document progress of clients. May require crisis intervention to emergency situations. Skill in establishing rapport with clients. Knowledge of Supervision practices Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Qualifications for the position are: REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field REQUIRED: 3 years' experience in the substance abuse fieldand/or mental health REQUIRED: 1-year supervisory experience. Within 1 year, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) if not already certified. PREFERRED: CADC, CCDP, LPC, or LCSW, PREFERRED: 5 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental healthSalary: From $27/hour. Commensurate with experience, education, and certificationSchedule: 4 days shifts 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or... 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 1 evening shift 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The compensation package for this position includes: Group medical, dental, and vision coverage with low employee costs 34 paid days off annually Tuition reimbursement A retirement plan with a company match of up to 4% No weekends Brandywine Counseling is a qualified employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Opportunity for advancement
