Position Summary:

The Business Development Lead is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales and enhancing customer relationships within the foodservice industry. This position requires a proactive approach to generating sales by providing value-added services and exceptional customer service. This role will work collaboratively as a team member within the department and the broader organization, performing any assigned duties that best serve the company's objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Maintain current client relationships and identify and develop potential clients.

? Contacting and following up with potential clients to establish a business relationship.

? Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.

? Make and give presentations to prospective clients and executives.

? Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.

? Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with them effectively within the organization.

? Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.

? Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.

? Drive the end-to-end sales process.

? Prepare and submit sales contracts.

? Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

•Proven experience in outside sales or business development.

•Strong background in the foodservice industry.

•Ability to negotiate and close sales deals effectively.

•Excellent customer service and account management skills.

•Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or equitable working experience.

•Proven track record of success in business development, sales or account management.

•Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software.

•Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements:

? Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

? Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

? Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
