The Impact You'll Make: In this individual contributor role, you'll report into our Head of People & Workplace, collaborate with executives, and manage internal communication strategy and delivery. You will develop and implement company-wide strategies to support organizational goals, deliver run-the-business communications and guide and inspire the company with proactive and reactive strategies with messaging that lands in a human and empathetic way. More specifically, you'll: Advise our executives on communication strategies, positioning, and messaging Write impactful content that aligns with Upside values and lands empathetically Identify current communication needs and create plans to solve for our gaps Evolve our communications model to better scale with our growing business Analyze communication efforts, gather insights, and suggest improvements Stay updated on trends, emerging technologies, and best practices What You Should Have: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience working in venture-backed, fast-paced scaling companies, preferably in tech. Experience influencing and informing C-Suite executives. Experience with building cross-functional relationships across all departments and levels of an organization. Experience working in a highly matrixed organization with shifting priorities and ambiguity. Experience managing multiple strategic priorities simultaneously and independently. Experience developing strategic communications plans and implementing them across crisis management, change management, and internal communications. Strategic and creative thinking, with the skills to distill complex content into clear, concise, and engaging communications, and able to write with speed and accuracy. Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives in support of our business strategies. The Fine Print: Location:
