The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

To perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

To gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

Perform site visits to client facilities to collect data for oil tank spill prevention and response plans.

Support a senior engineer with the preparation of oil tank spill prevention and response plans and hazardous waste contingency plans.

Assist with fuel tank replacement engineering designs.

Aviation sector site work related to environmental compliance and engineering tasks.

Support PFAS assessments including site investigation, remedial options assessments, PFAS waste management, and foam system decontamination.

To perform oversight of field service subcontractors and supervise ground investigation and remediation works.

To collect and evaluate soil and groundwater samples/data during assessment and remedial action activities at various sites.

To ensure that health and safety issues are addressed throughout the life of a project.

Environmental sampling and options evaluations and problem definition.

Equipment specifications, construction oversight, system troubleshooting, and optimization.

Assist with report preparation and other related tasks.

Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed design packages (construction drawings and technical specifications).

Supporting calculations and work plans in support of environmental remediation system designs.

The position involves local travel to project sites to collect samples, oversee remediation construction contractors, gather information, and present results of study and design work.

Qualifications: Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering

3+ years of experience in environmental investigations and site remediation

Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites

OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

Experience with construction documentation, construction management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Strong technical report writing skills and the ability to develop design specifications
