Job Title: Brake Controls Integration Engineer
Objective: Support Integration and testing for Braking Systems Tasks:
Maintain requirement status for program signoff in FEDE
Represent the Controls department at program and launch meetings
Communicate program information and timing to controls teams
Develop and Maintain Vehicle and Breadboard Test Plans for each application
Develop and execute plans to reduce test days.
Track and report progress to plan Lead:
Lead troubleshooting efforts for vehicle controls issues and bring in supporting teams as needed
Update GPDS deliverables' status for each program in integrator
Lead issue resolution for root cause (8D), permanent corrective action, and prevent recurrence for brake controls related concerns
Lead the commissioning process on the first set of vehicles, breadboards, and dynos in the prototype phase. Verify software and calibration level and functionality - Flash SW/Cals onto ABS modules
Collect and read diagnostic trouble codes
Collect and review data - Troubleshooting/debugging vehicles - Utilizing CANAlyzer/CANape and DET (Diagnostic Engineering Tool) for issue resolution and testing
Skills Required:
Self-starter who can learn to use new tools and find solutions - ability to resolve vehicle problems
Skills Preferred:
Outstanding leadership and communication skills
Experience Required:
Familiarity with digital and analog data acquisition systems
Experience Preferred:
2+ years of experience with design or development in chassis or powertrain controls
Experience with FMEA and related quality assurance processes
Familiarity with vehicle network communication (e.g. CAN, etc.)
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
