Inventory Planner Location: Woonsocket, RI/HybridDuration: 9 monthsDescription:Job Purpose and Summary:The Inventory Planner is accountable for managing/shaping forecasts and inventory as well as all supply components for a group of retail products to ensure Store and DC service levels.The Inventory Planner will execute business plans that achieve enterprise goals including sales, margin, in-stock, turn, fill rate, customer satisfaction and GMROII.This person will be working collaboratively with cross functional internal and external partners to deliver results and ensure outcomes.Inventory Planner responsibilities include:Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining accurate forecasts across a set of products/categories so that the business may be appropriately planned based on that forecastDevelop and maintain promotional, seasonal and event forecastsMonitor Forecast accuracy and resolve exceptions with the goal of forecast improvement accounting for market intelligenceWorks with Category and Planning leadership to understand trends, identify new products, promotional strategies and evaluate impacts on demandWork collaboratively with merchants, vendors, and other parts of the business to ensure that key factors influencing demand are understood and reflected in the forecastUse input from the analytics team to determine appropriate forecast models and parameter settingsResponsible for managing inventory levels for a set of products/vendors/categories to support demand while meeting inventory turn and service level targetsDevelop actionable plans to meet financial and inventory goalsDevelop and maintain inventory and purchase plans using Blue Yonder Fulfill and Order Optimization moduleGenerate and analyze inventory and service level performance reportsManage/resolve stock-out occurrencesMonitor inventory and service level performance and resolve exceptionsPartner with Finance, Logistics & the Transportation organization to identify supply chain and financial opportunitiesRepresent project standards by attending and facilitating meetings to prioritize inventory requirements across the organizationCollaborate with vendors, carriers, and DC teams to enable on time and in-full delivery of purchase ordersReview deal buying opportunities and make decisions on purchase quantities and timing based on targets defined by leadershipVerifiable High School Diploma or GED Required: YesDuties ResponsibilitiesPO creation, tracking, and maintenanceReviewing/maintaining demand forecastsCommunicating with vendorsReporting /Inventory MeetingsTeam initiatives/Project supportExperience Essential Qualifications and Functions:3+ years of Retail industry experience in Merchandise planning1+ Year Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams)Results driven with strong time management & organizational skills with a desire to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and contribute ideas in a team settingCuriosity to explore and identify insights that result in the development of actionable strategies and tactical plansStrong business/financial acumen and Supply Chain knowledgeAbility to resolve high profile issuesGood judgment and decision-making abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:JDA / Blue Yonder Forecasting & Replenishment KnowledgeBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Operations ManagementMaster's Degree in Supply Chain or MBAAn Asset Supply Chain certification such as RSSC, CSCMP or APICSPrevious Experience in an S&OP environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to calculate and analyze key forecasting metrics such as forecast MAPE and bias.Knowledge of Tableau reporting softwareDemonstrated understanding of inter-relationship between demand planning and category management, supply planning, and financeEducation Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.-Project Management Professional certification preferred.As an equal opportunity employer, ICONMA provides an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or express, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability status, political affiliation, genetics, marital status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
