The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Accounting & Finance (“SVP”) to oversee its financial operations as it continues its path of success & growth. The SVP reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the accounting, administrative, and financial reporting functions of Atlas Entertainment and its subsidiaries. The SVP ensures that all cash management functions, tax coordination, and financial reporting are conducted in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. This role is fully on-site Monday through Friday to supervise office operations and effectively interface with management and staff. The SVP oversees three
accounting staff members and interaction with third-parties related to accounting and finance such as outside tax preparers.
Responsibilities:
•
Review daily cash transactions, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
·
Work closely with staff to complete bank and credit card reconciliations
·
Consolidate and compile subsidiary financial activity for management & tax reporting
·
Produce weekly report of cashflow & assets and ad hoc management reports
·
Lead monthly close process to maintain accurate general ledgers and support timely reporting
·
Coordinate tax preparation and related financial reporting process across multiple entities
·
Monitor treasury functions to optimize cash flow and maximize interest income
·
Work with internal & external advisors to ensure jurisdictional & regulatory compliance for all entities
·
Maintain up-to-date tax filing and financial reporting calendar for all entities
·
Support policy-setting for benefits and other operational & administrative functions
·
Supervise select on-site operations together with BA and HR
·
Develop and guide staff to foster an environment of continuous improvement
·
Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency & optimal results
Requirements:
•
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and relevant combination of training and experience
•
8+
years of relevant experience with increasing management and supervisory responsibility
•
Success in roles that demonstrate a strong general accounting and financial reporting background
•
Extensive experience with cash management, banking, and internal controls
•
Solid comprehension of US GAAP with general understanding of tax preparation preferred
•
Exceptional organizational & communication skills with ability to manage multiple work streams
•
Advanced proficiency in
cloud-based accounting software suites and
Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications:
•
Media, entertainment, or tax accounting background
•
5+ years in senior accounting or leadership role
•
Active CPA license and/or public accounting experience
