We are looking for enthusiastic and high-potential Business Development Representatives to join our Groupon Sales team in Chicago. As a crucial member of our team, you will drive our sales efforts, build strong customer relationships, and help local businesses thrive through our platform.
Your ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and provide exceptional customer service will be key to your success in this role.
You'll spend time on the following:
- Scout and Connect: Find and connect with local businesses to showcase Groupon's amazing deals.
- Prospecting and Engagement: Identify and engage with potential local business partners to promote Groupon's offerings.
- Value Presentation: Present Groupon's value proposition to business owners using effective sales techniques and presentations.
- Consultation: Consult with local businesses to understand their unique needs and create customized solutions.
- Crush Targets: Hit and exceed your sales goals like a pro.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, understanding their needs, and offering tailored Groupon solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
- At least 6 months of experience in sales, especially if you've done B2B, business development or tele sales, cold calling is very nice to have.
- We require 4 days a week at the Chicago downtown office.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Great communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a team player.
- A natural salesperson with an outgoing personality and high potential for growth.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work with different teams to ensure our campaigns are a smashing success.
- Quick on your feet and adaptable.
- Knowledge of the local business landscape is a plus.
- Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools (bonus points if you already know Salesforce).
- Compensation: The compensation package for this role includes a base salary of $40,000 along with an on-target variable commission of $33,400, totaling $73,400 per year. After a 5 month ramp period, your commissions will increase to $60,000 per year, totaling $100,000 per year.
- It's important to note that the variable commission is currently uncapped, offering the potential for additional earnings based on performance.
