Associate Director of Student Success

The Associate Director of Student Success will work with students (undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral) within the School of Aeronautics at Liberty University (both online and residential) to maximize student success, assessing and measuring outcomes, resolve concerns and work toward continuous improvement within the programs, and collect/manage data. The overall goal of this position is to achieve a higher graduation rate of students from the School of Aeronautics and to ensure student academic, professional, and personal development.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Reviewing and making decisions on ROVOR requests.

2. Monitoring the SOA online and Aeronautics email inboxes.

3. Providing up-to-date Scholarship and Partnership Information to students.

4. Developing and accessing plans to maximize success for all of the School of Aeronautic Students.

5. Identifying and solving barriers to student success.

6. Provide high-quality academic advising to maximize student success.

7. Develop and send surveys to collect data from current and past students.

8. Review students' course registrations before the start of each term to ensure requisites are completed.

9. Attend department Curriculum Meetings.

10. Create and edit helpful guides for Online and Residential Enrollment/Advising Departments.

11. Work closely with the Career Center to assist in early career planning and student involvement.

12. Collaborates with Online and Residential Chairs regarding students of concern.

13. Collaborates with department chairs regarding undergraduate and graduate course demand, scheduling, and enrollment management.

14. Responsible to attend events such as All Aviators Meetings, CFAW, Welcome Week, Experience LU, Scholarship Search 101 events.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Understanding of how to research and use knowledge in strategic planning for student support services.

2. Experience working with diverse populations.

3. Organization, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. A Master's degree in higher education administration with knowledge of student development and learning theory.

2. Understanding of how to use CRM, Course Registration Tool, Qualtrics, Excel, Outlook, Kaltura, ATLAS, Tableau, and ARGOS.

3. Experience with and basic knowledge of FTAs, FAA, SACs, and VA/Military Affairs to better assist the students.
