StorageMart is the largest independent providers of self-storage for business and domestic customers in Canada, the United States and the U.K. The Marketing Automation Specialist supports the execution of digital marketing strategies across various platforms, focusing on email marketing, SMS, chat, and other digital communication channels. This role assists in the development and implementation of automated marketing campaigns, ensuring a seamless and effective customer journey from initial inquiry to post-sale engagement, thereby enhancing customer experience and contributing to revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Set up and manage automation workflows for email and SMS communications to nurture leads and engage customers at various stages of the customer journey. Develop, build, and edit marketing emails, snippets, and journeys. Support the creation and sending of email and SMS communications in collaboration with internal teams such as content, design, technology, and business intelligence. Collaborate with the content team to create compelling and relevant content for email and SMS campaigns that are aligned with overall marketing strategy and campaign objectives. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of automated messages. Assist in managing agency partnerships and tools for marketing automations like Iterable, Stensul, etc. Assist in managing automated marketing programs across various platforms:

Email campaigns via ESP (e.g., Iterable) SMS automation using third-party integrations (e.g., Twilio, Iterable) Chatbot/AI communication flows (e.g., Swivl or similar)

Contribute to reporting on campaign performance, identifying, and sharing successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. Provide insights into consumer behavior and trends to enhance digital communication strategies. Identify opportunities for optimization of email and SMS, utilizing data analytics to improve the customer journey and drive business growth. Execute additional tasks related to digital marketing and customer engagement as required. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in email and SMS marketing, marketing automation technologies, and customer journey optimization. Basic Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic understanding of marketing principles, customer journey mapping, and digital marketing strategies. Proficiency in design and a keen eye for aesthetics, demonstrating the ability to craft visually appealing and well-thought-out emails. Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners. Ability to work with various software and databases at an intermediate level.
