If you align with BGS' company values and culture, we would love for you to explore opportunities to join our growing team by checking out the job description below Overview: This position is responsible for the processing of timely and accurate customer invoices in accordance with specified contract terms, BGS policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) clauses. This position reports to the Project Accounting Manager. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly project invoices and ensure they are timely and accurately submitted in accordance with the contract to customer. Communicate with customers, subcontractors and employees as needed in preparation of monthly invoices. Communicate with functional managers to resolve any billing issues that may arise. Prepare billing reconciliations and analysis as needed. Helps monitor accounts receivable aging and communicates with customers as needed to ensure prompt payments. Assists with month-end revenue related account reconciliations to the general ledger. Assists in the preparation of information for year-end financial audits, DCM audits, and other audits as needed. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable regulatory rules and regulations. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years in business/accounting. Minimum 2 years' experience in government contracts. Bachelor's degree preferred. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government contract accounting, Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Proficient in MS Office products with strong Excel skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team. Detail oriented, professional, reliable and with a strong work ethic. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Location/Work Arrangement: This position is located at Oak Ridge, TN and is a Hybrid Work Arrangement.
