Production Manager
Job Description
Position summary: supervises production team members as they perform manufacturing and other tasks to support the production of products and ensure that those products meet all requirements and specifications for sale to our customers.

Supervises production team members to ensure production is streamlined and deadlines are achieved.
Analyzes inventory and assigns required production tasks to appropriate personnel.
Performs and documents maintenance duties to ensure quality and safe operation.
Performs and documents methods development/equipment evaluation to improve performance.
Works as a team member with internal departments to efficiently release product, resolve problems and support sales. Flexibly adapts to changing demands to satisfy external and internal customer needs.
Assists in method troubleshooting
Assists in the training of personnel on all production methods.
Modifies protocols to improve efficiency.
Coordinates/prioritizes products to prepare.

Education/experience:
High School or Associates degree with 4 to 10 years of experience with Glass or Other Manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical ability:
??calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.?
Reasoning ability:
??solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.?

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing and/or inventory programs as well as the great plains system.

Working conditions include a warehouse and production environment where temperatures may vary, including working around very hot temperatures, especially near machinery and during the manufacturing process. Noise levels can range from moderate to high. The role may involve working near machinery, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Flexibility in hours may be required to meet production deadlines, including occasional evening or weekend shifts.

The Production Manager must be able to lift and move materials such as glass vials and packaging supplies, with weights up to 50 lbs. Occasionally, heavier items like pallets or large equipment used in manufacturing will need to be moved. Routine tasks will involve standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements throughout the shift. To minimize strain, proper equipment, such as pallet jacks and lifting aids, will be provided to handle heavy or repetitive tasks, ensuring a safe working environment.
