Role Overview

Rebees Management Company is seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator for Sugar Land Town Square to manage the project’s advertising, content strategy, brand standards, and partner with the events team to provide event planning support. 

Roles + Responsibilities

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with retail tenants to support their marketing and event initiatives
  • Maintain editorial calendar and manage content for social media
  • Build weekly email newsletter to promote SLTS events
  • Create strategies and programs to grow social media following and increase email newsletter subscribers
  • Partner with digital marketing agency to provide branded assets for advertising campaigns
  • Manage, maintain, and update onsite signage and maps
  • Manage, maintain, and update property website

Events Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing community event programming; ensure community event programming evolves and stays fresh over time
  • Curate themed photo opps for holidays and special events that drive brand awareness and engagement
  • Assist with event sponsorship fulfillment
  • Hire and manage contract event personnel as needed
  • Manage budgets and expenses for each event
  • Seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency without impacting the event experience
  • Monitor the fulfillment of contractual terms on all event agreements including payment schedules, insurance requirements, security procedures, etc.
  • Apply for all permits related to hosting special events including food, alcohol, tent, stage, and signage
  • Coordinate with event designers to ensure event layout meets safety and security protocols
  • Coordinate with security personnel to ensure that adequate security measures are in place during the event
  • Coordinate additional logistical items such as parking, traffic control, janitorial, etc
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown to ensure that the property is well maintained and returned to its original condition after each event
  • Monitor and maintain brand standards for events
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills + Qualifications Needed To Succeed

  • 3+ years as a Marketing and Events Coordinator
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business
  • Works well under pressure and able to proactively solve problems
  • Organized and proficient at time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented, tenacious, resourceful, and creative
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in an unstructured, entrepreneurial, and non-hierarchical environment
